Frequently Asked Questions

How do I make an appointment?

You can schedule an appointment by calling us at 330-723-2225 during our regular business hours. If it’s after hours, simply request an appointment online anytime!

Does my insurance cover chiropractic and physical therapy services?

We are independent providers and are covered by most major medical insurance plans, including but not limited to: Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross-Blue Shield, Cigna, Medical Mutual, United Healthcare, Great West, PHCS, Medicare, Medicaid, Workers' Compensation, Personal Injury cases, and many more.

Do I need a referral?

In most cases, no referral is needed! Since we are providers on the majority of insurance plans, you can begin chiropractic or physical therapy care without a referral. However, we work closely with your primary care physician or specialist to keep them informed about your treatment.

I was injured at work — can I choose your office, or do I have to go where my company sends me?

Yes, you can absolutely choose our office! Ohio law gives you the right to select your own healthcare provider for a work-related injury. We are both certified by the Bureau of Workers' Compensation, so no referral is needed. We can also act as your Physician of Record and arrange referrals if you need additional care, such as with an orthopedic surgeon or pain management specialist.

I was in a car accident — can I receive care at your office?

Yes! You can come directly to our office without a referral. We will ensure you receive the proper treatment and will coordinate communication with your primary care physician, attorney, and insurance company to keep everyone updated.

My family doctor or orthopedic specialist referred me to physical therapy — can I come to your office?

Absolutely. As we are in-network with most insurance plans, you have the right to choose where you receive physical therapy — with or without a direct referral. If your doctor referred you, you can still choose our office, and we will keep your referring physician informed about your progress.

If I start chiropractic care, will I have to keep going forever?

No, that’s a common myth. Once you regain normal function and your pain is significantly reduced or eliminated, you won’t need to continue chiropractic care. We’ll provide you with a personalized home exercise program to help prevent future problems, so you’ll be empowered to maintain your health on your own.
